NAMES WOMEN’S GAME CONFERENCE DIRECTOR;
ANNOUNCES DEADLINE FOR PANEL PARTICIPATION PROPOSALS
2nd Annual Women’s Game
Conference takes place October 26-27, 2005 in Austin, Texas
AUSTIN, Texas - June
30, 2005 - The Game Initiative, a leading producer of conferences and
events for professionals in the computer and video game industry, today
announced Suzanne Freyjadis-Chuberka is the new Conference Director for
the Women’s Game Conference (WGC) taking place October 26-27, 2005 in
Austin, Texas. Additionally The Game Initiative announced that WGC
proposals for consideration for speaker panel participation are due by
July 15, 2005.
Women's Game Conference
focuses on women in the computer and video game industry, gender
inclusive game design and women and girls as consumers of games. The

Suzanne Freyjadis-Chuberka
holds a Master's Degree in Women's and Gender Studies, with a focus on
women and video games, from the University of Texas at Austin. She is an
accomplished researcher and presenter in the fields of gender issues and
gaming and in girls’ youth culture. Freyjadis-Chuberka has been
researching various aspects of women as a video game market for the past
three years.
